Client: Trinity College Dublin
The upgrade of existing floodlighting to the rugby pitch at Trinity College Dublin. Lighting would be removed from all buildings in the vicinity of the pitch in lieu of new column-mounted, controlled floodlighting The existing light fixtures are currently installed to stone cornices of protected structures, thus impacting on the historic fabric both directly (fixings to stone) and indirectly (visual impact and light pollution).
The proposed installations would include the removal of these light fixtures and this, in conjunction with proposed conservation repairs as described, would result in a direct positive impact on these historic buildings.
