Meet the IN2 Senior Management team.
Founder and Managing Director of IN2 Engineering Design Partnership Barry Flynn has built extensive industry experience over the last 25 years. Specialising in Project Management and bespoke Lighting Designs Barry possesses a robust background in all aspects Electrical Service Design, including MV and LV Power system design, switchgear, UPS, Generators, PF Correction, IT, LAN, SCADA and Emergency Systems Design.
Environmental & Sustainability Director
Founding partner of IN2 Engineering Design Partnership David Walshe is our Technical Director overseeing energy and environmental engineering aspects for all Dublin projects. With 20 years of experience David provides exceptional acumen for low energy design and building simulation. Applying his knowledge David has contributed to industry literature by publishing a Design Guide on Wind Towers, as well as contributing technical articles for Architecture Ireland.
Founding member and Projects Director Ian Carroll has been responsible for the successful delivery of numerous projects for IN2 and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Service Design including MV and LV Power system design, switchgear, UPS, Generators, PF Correction, IT, LAN, SCADA, Emergency Systems Design, Project Management and BMS Systems. Based in Athlone Ian is responsible for a team of project engineers who manage a wide-ranging collection of ventures ensuring successful delivery for clients.
With his considerable experience in design installation and mechanical services James Redmond works as one of our Senior Mechanical Engineers. Since joining the team in 2003 James has undertaken responsibility for many of the firms largescale projects including Rathmines Square and Leisure Centre, Lyric Theatre, Hotel Europe, Park Hotel, and Farnham House Hotel.
As one of IN2’s Mechanical Project Engineers Graeme Parker has been responsible for the successful completion of many large scale projects such as Dublin Airport terminal 1 Extension. Since joining IN2 Graeme has completed his Masters in Energy Management and utilises this knowledge to provide easily operated complex mechanical solutions for his projects.
With many years of experience in business, working for companies like Diageo, Intel and most recently Eakin Healthcare, Declan Milne joined us with a host of Management and Financial experience. As head of our Finance Division Declan is directly responsible for all finance related activity, including risk management and controls, financial forecasting and reporting, company secretariat, and management of funding and other external stakeholder relationships.
Senior Associate Director
Following an impressive career to date and joining us from his most recent position at Hoare Lea, Des Kenny brings with him a wealth of experience and specialist MEP knowledge. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin before securing his MSc in Building Services Engineering at London Southbank University, he has worked on many prestigious projects across multiple sectors over the past 16 years. Currently based between our London and Belfast offices Des is responsible for heading up a number of new projects and providing first class MEP services to our clients.
Eddie Beer began first working as a mechanical engineer for Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, as a junior project engineer Eddie carried out on-site energy assessments and worked to reduce energy consumption for various public and private sectors. Now with 5 years of experience in the building services sector Eddie has acquired significant experience in primarily survey stage on redevelopment projects but also in conception stage through to building handover. Eddie has applied this experience to a variety of projects including: Commercial Design, Hotel Design, Masterplanning Design, and School Design.
With an extensive 39 years’ experience in the electrical industry and 31 in Building Services Consultancy Stewart Robertson is a valued member of the IN2 team. Stewart has applied his expertise to a variety of projects during his time encompassing residential, commercial, hotel, and healthcare ventures. He specialises in conservation/restoration works, exhibition/event spaces, and commercial projects.
Tim Jago has been providing his expert insights on Building Services Engineering since joining in 2003. Working as an Electrical Engineer Tim is often involved in projects from conception through to building handover in both high-end commercial projects and bespoke one-off private client housing.
Tim has experience with Hospital Design, Social Housing Design and Sports Complex Design, whilst specialising in high-end installations, IT, LAN, SCADA, Fire Alarm and Emergency Installations.

As one of our Associate Directors William O’Donnell is and accredited LEED AP (Building Design & Construction Speciality) CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant and BREEAM Assessor specialising in the design and integration of low energy building design and simulation. Since joining in 2007 William has undergone extensive training in computer modeling and passive system design providing IN2 with improved clients offerings. William is also accredited to produce level 5 building energy ratings/energy performance certificates using dynamic simulation.

William is a qualified BREEAM Accredited Professional, BREEAM assessor and RICS Accredited SKA Assessor. He also has skills in energy strategies, building services project management, site commissioning, renewable energy assessments and sustainable design, all developed over 9 years of experience in the industry. As an experienced assessor, he has coordinated many BREEAM, CfSH, LEED, HQM and Well assessments making him incredibly well qualified in the sector.

Tim has been with IN2 since 2013 taking a leading role in marketing, bidding and business development for the company. He began his career in Dublin, working with Douglas Wallace Architects before relocating to London, where he joined StructureTone, a global main contractor. Tim headed up bidding and marketing for their London, Dublin and Asian offices. On returning to Ireland, he took up his present role with IN2 and has been instrumental in the establishment of their London office, and growth of the company over the past six years.
Business Development Manager
Lee joined IN2’s London office in 2017 in a business development role, to help build visibility & generate new business across the Group. He had previously been Business Development Director for a global fit-out contractor in London between 2014-2017 and has worked in various sales & marketing teams across the construction sector for almost 20 years, including joinery specialist, Mivan Ltd. Lee re-located back to Ireland in 2018, and continues to grow the IN2 client base in both the UK and Irish regions.
