×We are delighted to introduce Carlos Cura as our new Principal Sustainability Engineer who will be heading up the IN2 Berlin office. Carlos has been working within the Building Services Engineering industry since 2010. With environmental sustainability as his main personal priority, Carlos always looks to ensure the projects he manages opt for the most responsible solutions possible.
Carlos will be working alongside our Director Graeme Parker on our new Berlin-based projects. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Carlos has worked on numerous projects across different continents and will be IN2’s primary contact for clients in our Berlin office.
Initially beginning his career working with Arup as a student in 2010, Carlos has since spent the last 10 years building experience working both for a variety of consultants and in a freelance capacity. Before joining the IN2 team, Carlos was a Project Engineer for SECO Luxembourg where he was involved in over 50 Healthcare, Office, Commercial and Residential projects as part of the Technics and Audits team.
Carlos also has considerable experience in reviewing MEP designs according to current standards and best practices, while managing Sustainability services including Sustainable Design, LEED, BREEAM and WELL certification projects.
After joining the IN2 team last week Carlos said, “I’m excited to join the IN2 team and to head the operations here in Berlin, in a country that is so strongly committed to tackle the climate crisis. As an environmentally conscious professional, my passion is around creating spaces which maximise health and wellbeing for those using the building by putting their needs at the centre of design whilst ensuring a positive impact of the project on its surroundings. Sustainability is a global priority and by joining IN2 I’m happy to see that I am surrounded by enthusiastic professionals wanting to be part of the solution.”
While already working across mainland Europe on many projects, we at IN2 are delighted to set-up in Berlin, providing full MEP Design as well as our Energy and Sustainability services. As we celebrate our 20 year anniversary this year, this is an exciting step forward for the company as we continue to grow from strength to strength.
