×The easyHotel located on the corner of Benburb street and Wood Lane is the first easyHotel to be based in Ireland. IN2 was appointed to develop the building services design of the project from the tender stage which involved a redesign to increase the number of guest rooms available from the original 96 to 160. This completed project spans 7 storeys with guestrooms from the 1st to 6th floors and a commercial unit at ground level.
IN2 undertook an environmental analysis by creating a dynamic simulation model of the building to enable energy analysis, accounting for climate, site location, building materials and constructions, fenestration and shading, HVAC systems, occupant profiles and behaviour. The energy analysis assessed the proposed building design. It determined an environmental and servicing strategy to ensure compliance with building regulations designed in accordance with the Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) Directive.
