The restoration of the Georgian Mansion House on Farnham Estate as the main feature within the 5-star hotel and conference facilities on 1,300 acre estate after over 400 years of private ownership. The Spa and Wellness Centre was housed in the reconstructed stone cow sheds, with landscaped courtyards formed within the Spa and bedroom wings.
The 20,000m2 development utilized Combined Heat and Power generating plant for space heating and hot water. In addition, IN2 was responsible for the design of the Mechanical and Electrical Services including the specialist services associated with 3,000m2 Spa and Wellness facility. Extensive airflow modeling was undertaken during the design to ensure key spaces were naturally ventilated, thus eliminating costly air conditioning systems. The complete internal lighting scheme was designed to compliment and contribute to the building aesthetics, both old and new.
