The building’s design incorporates low energy ventilation systems to both auditorium and studio theatre spaces utilising direct cooling from a below-ground aquifer which is then distributed into the adjacent River Lagan, ensuring minimal energy/ cost operation whilst satisfying low noise criteria. The services design involved complex coordination of Mechanical and Electrical services with the Specialist Technical Theatre installation.
