×IN2 have been commissioned to conduct a preliminary audit of existing engineering systems at Wilde Staycity’s aparthotel in Berlin. Following IN2’s initial appointment for a preliminary building audit, a second appointment has followed to carry out technical due diligence of the aparthotel.
IN2 were able to propose various measures to reduce the risk of overheating such as the installation of a Hybrid-VRF system and the automatization of all south and west-facing blinds in each apartment with data obtained from a roof-mounted weather station.
In collaboration with SteadWay, an expert cost consultant, the team developed a detailed cost structure allowing the client to better assess the overall financial and operational impact of the proposed building upgrades.
The technical due diligence included IN2 comparing design proposals to determine the most viable option for the client. This included reviewing Acoustics Performance, Cooling Performance, Coordination and Ceiling Height. IN2 were able to draw conclusions and present the most effective options to the client.
